Nov 24 13.6 Then the Jews led Jesus bound from Caiaphas to the governors palace. They did not enter the palace to avoid defilement, lest they couldnt eat the Passover feast. So Pilate came out and asked, “What is your charge against him?” They replied, “If he werent a criminal, we wouldnt have brought him to you.” Pilate replied, “Take him and judge him by your law.”

“But we arent permitted to crucify anyone. We found him subverting the nation, opposing tax to Caesar and calling himself Christ the King,” they objected. They spoke this to fulfill Jesus prediction concerning the kind of death he would die.1
