Jun 14 “Yes, you know me and where I am from,” said Jesus in the temple, “I am not here on my own, but He who sent me is true1. You do not know Him, but I do because I am from Him.” They tried to arrest Jesus, but no one touched him, because his time had not yet come.2 Many more believed in him, saying, “When Christ comes, will he perform more miracles than this man?” On hearing this crowds opinion about him, Pharisees and chief priests sent officers to arrest Jesus.

Jesus said, “For a short time Im with you, then I go to Him who sent me. Youll seek me but you wont find me, where I am you cannot come.3 The Jews asked themselves, “What does he mean by these latter statements, where is he going that we cannot find him? To our people scattered among the Greeks, or to teach the Greeks?”
