Apr 1 6.16 One of the Pharisees invited Jesus for dinner. When a certain sinful woman in town heard Jesus was there, she brought an alabaster box of perfume and stood at his feet while he reclined. She wept much unto his feet and kept wiping them with her hair and kissing them while anointing1 them with the perfume. But the Pharisee thought, “If Jesus were a prophet he would have known2 this woman is sinful.” Jesus said, “Simon, I have something to tell you.” The Pharisee replied, “Say it, Teacher.” “Two men owed a certain creditor, one owed five hundred daily wages, the other fifty. As they couldnt pay, he forgave both. Which of them will love him more?” Simon replied, “I suppose the one he forgave the more.”
