Jul 12 8.15 There, a Pharisee invited Jesus for dinner. He went, sat at dinner surprising the man by not first washing ceremoniously.

The Lord said, “You Pharisees clean the outside, but inside you are filled with greed and wickedness. Fools! Didnt God make both inside and outside? Purge away inward vices, then all will become clean to you.

Woe to you, because you tithe mint, rue and all garden herbs, but neglect justice1 and Gods love. These you should do without neglecting the other.

Woe to you, because you love front seats in synagogues and greetings in marketplaces.

Woe to you, because you are like unmarked graves people walk over without knowing.”

Jul 13 A lawyer replied, “Teacher, your sayings insult us.”

Jesus replied, “Woe to you lawyers also. You load people with unbearable burdens without lifting a finger to help.2

Woe to you, because your erecting monuments to the prophets your forefathers murdered, shows you approve of their deeds.3 God in His wisdom said, I will send them prophets and apostles; they will kill some and persecute others. Hence this generation will answer for all the prophets blood ever shed, from Abel4 down to Zechariah, who perished between the altar and the temple.

Jul 14 Woe to you lawyers, who have taken away the key of knowledge, not entering in and preventing5 others from entering.”

As Jesus said these, scribes and Pharisees vehemently urged and provoked him to speak on many issues, hoping to catch him in his words.

A crowd of many thousands had gathered, trampling on one another. Jesus warned his disciples. “Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.6 Everything hidden will be revealed. Everything spoken in darkness will be heard in the light, whisperings in rooms will be publicized.”7

Jul 15I say, friends, dont fear those who kill the body, which is all they can do. I warn you to fear Him8 who, after killing the body, has authority to cast into hell. If five sparrows selling for two coins are not forgotten by God, even the hairs9 of your head are numbered, why be afraid? You are worth more than many sparrows.10 I say, whoever confesses me before men, I will confess before Gods angels. He who denies11 me before men, I will deny before Gods angels. Whoever speaks against the Son of man will be forgiven, but whoever blasphemes12 the Holy Spirit, wont be forgiven.

When you are brought before synagogues, rulers and authorities, dont worry about what to say, for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that hour what to say.”13
