Apr 17 6.35 That evening, seeing the crowd, he said to his disciples, “Let us cross to the other shore.” They left the crowd and took him, for he was in the boat. Other boats also accompanied him. A great storm1 rose and waves covered and filled their boat. Jesus was asleep on a cushion in the stern, so they woke him and said, “Lord, save, we are drowning, dont you care if we drown?” He rose, rebuked the wind and spoke to the sea, “Peace be still!” A great calm followed.

Jesus said, “Why are you afraid? Have you no faith?”2 In fearful surprise, they asked one another, “Who is this, that even the wind and water obey him?”
