Mar 4 5.15 On another Sabbath, he taught in the synagogues and a man with shrunken right hand was there. The scribes and Pharisees, wanting to accuse him, watched closely if Jesus would heal on the Sabbath1 and asked him, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?” Knowing their thoughts,2 Jesus said to the handicapped, “Rise to the middle.” He did. Then Jesus asked them, “Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or evil, to save or destroy life? If your sheep falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will you rescue it? How much more valuable a man is than a sheep. So it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.3 He glanced around in anger and grief at their hard hearts, then said to the man, “Stretch your hand!” He did and it was fully restored like the other.

Mar 5 These religious leaders were angry and discussed

what   to   do with Jesus.   The   Pharisees   left   and immediately with Herodians plotted how to kill Jesus.
