Nov 23 13.5 Judas, the betrayer, seeing Jesus was condemned to death, regretted and returned the bribe to the religious leaders, saying, “Ive sinned by betraying innocent blood.” “Its your problem,” they replied. He threw down the thirty silver coins into the temple, went out and hung himself.

The chief priest picked up the coins, saying, “It is unlawful to put these in the treasury, since it is blood money.” After meeting, they bought with it a potters field for burying strangers. This field is still known as the “Field of Blood.” This fulfilled prophet Jeremiahs saying, “They took thirty silver coins, the price set on him by Israelites, to buy a potters field, as the Lord commanded me.”
