Nov. 19 13.2 Annas sent Jesus bound to Caiaphas the high priest, where the chief priests, elders and scribes had gathered. The chief priests and the entire council sought false evidence against Jesus to kill him. They found none because many who testified gave conflicting evidence. Some said, “We heard him say, I will destroy1 this man-made temple and within three days build another without hands.” Their statements did not agree.

The high priest stood and asked Jesus, “Cant you answer these charges against you?” Jesus remained silent. Then the high priest asked, “For the living Gods sake,2 are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed God?”

Nov 20 “I AM,3 Jesus answered, “and you will see the Son of man sitting at Gods right hand and coming again on heavenly clouds.4 The high priest tore his clothes, saying, “What further witness do we need? You have heard him speak blasphemy.5 What is your verdict?” They all condemned him to death. Some spat on him, others blindfolded and slugged him saying, “Prophesy! Christ, who struck you?” The guards welcomed him with slaps.
